balloon. Since the first balloon flight on the 21st
of November 1783 very little has changed, making hot air ballooning
the oldest form of flight.
Join the Nitani hot air balloon club during your stay at Nitani
and traverse the un-spoilt landscape at between 500 and 1000 feet
above ground.
This is without a doubt the most romantic and tranquil way to
gently fly with the grace of the wind under the amazing skills
of the balloon pilot. Each experience ends with a celebratory
glass of bubbly.
Flights are conducted by a professional and experienced company
who specialize in hot air ballooning. The team travels 600 kilometers
from Johannesburg to operate the excursion. Flights
are approximately 40-45 minutes in duration, and are entirely
weather-dependent.
The
cost is R3200 or USD 380 per person per flight. We require a minimum
of 4 people to operate the flight, and the activity must be pre-booked
and pre-paid.
Credit card and cash payments are accepted at the lodge and will
be refunded should weather not permit the flight to go ahead.
